Within the 12,000sf (one-story steel-framed cancer treatment center) facility are 2 linear accelerator vaults, a CT scan machine, an infusion room, a blood lab, exam rooms, dressing rooms, a waiting room, offices, a reception area, clean utility, soiled utility, dosimetry room, server room, and two control rooms. Zoning for infusion treatments and radiation treatments, the infusion area is open with natural and indirect lighting. Both treatment zones share common support spaces. Flow of patients and staff for efficiency and privacy were important elements in the design. Durable but pleasant finishes and furnishings were used to comfort patients entering with a life-threatening disease. SBB was responsible for Architectural Engineering and Interior Design services for the project
