Architects collaborated with scientists and process engineers to refine the manufacturing process and the functional flow for the start-up company tenant and coordinated purchase of specialized lab and manufacturing equipment and provided full architecture and interior design services.  This facility is designed for validation by the FDA as a “GMP” facility; clean rooms were stick built design to save cost over modular systems and were designed to class 10,000 with certain spaces to class 100. The clean room manufacturing labs include: cell culture, bioreactor, purification/ conjugation, sterile fill / packaging and buffer manufacturing. Also included are QA/QC labs and a BL3 lab for handling HIV virus.
